When you call us, a roofer shows up.Not a salesman.
Frank Stevens & Sons has been roofing the Hudson Valley since 1973. Every estimate is done by Chris or Jim — two men with 60 years of roofing between them who install the work they sell. There is no roofing problem we can't solve.
Why people keep calling us back
Quality control starts before anyone climbs a ladder.
We will never employ salesmen — the type who would gladly sell you a toaster oven too, if they could.
When you ask us for an estimate, Chris Stevens or Jim McCormick does it personally. Chris has more than 35 years in the trade and heads our commercial division. Jim, Frank's son-in-law, has more than 25 years and heads residential. Both were installers themselves for decades, so the recommendation you get is the one a roofer would give.
They stay on the job from estimate to completion, physically overseeing the work. It hasn't made our lives easy. It has kept us in business since 1973.

How a job runs
From the first phone call to the last nail.
The same two people carry your job the whole way through. That's the whole method, and it's the reason the work holds up.
You call, we come look
Chris or Jim comes out personally, gets on the roof, and evaluates what's actually happening — not what a brochure says should be happening.
An honest recommendation
You get the options that fit your building and your budget, including the ones that cost us less. Sometimes the right answer is a repair, not a replacement.
A written estimate
Scope, system, manufacturer and warranty spelled out, so you can compare it against anyone else's number line for line.
Installation, overseen in person
Our own mechanics do the work. Chris or Jim is on site through the job, the way Frank Stevens did it from the beginning.
Warranty registration & follow-up
We register the manufacturer warranty in your name. On GAF Golden Pledge jobs, a GAF field inspector verifies the work independently.
Selected work
Town halls, schools, firehouses, churches — and houses like yours.

Schools, medical centers, correctional facilities, town halls, museums, libraries, airport hangars, military structures, retail stores, factories, warehouses, nursing homes, senior centers, sewer plants, architects' offices, places of worship, banks, firehouses — and residences, big and small.

Fill this in and a roofer will get back to you — usually the same day. If it's leaking right now, call instead. We'd rather hear about it today than after the next storm.
