Frank Stevens climbed onto his first roof in 1960. He started this company in 1973, and his family still runs it. When you call, one of them answers, and one of them comes out.
The drawing above has been on our trucks and our letterhead for fifty years. It is still the whole job: you stay dry, we stay on the roof.
Who you get
A roofer answers the phone. A roofer comes to the house.
Chris Stevens has been in this trade for more than thirty-five years. Jim McCormick, Frank's son-in-law, for more than twenty-five. Both of them spent most of those years as installers, on roofs, in the weather.
So when one of them looks at your roof, you are getting the opinion of somebody who has actually built the thing they're describing. Sometimes that opinion is that you don't need a new roof yet. We would rather tell you that and see you again in six years than sell you something today.

Quality control starts before anyone climbs a ladder: the person who evaluates and prices the job is the person who oversees it in the field, from the first morning to the last nail. Frank did it that way. Chris and Jim still do.

How we got here
Sixty-five years of Hudson Valley roofs.
Frank starts at eighteen
He goes to work for Jones Brothers, a Central Valley roofing and plumbing company founded in the late 1800s, and learns the trade from the deck up.
He opens his own shop
Frank Stevens Roofing takes its first job. The company has not stopped working in this valley since.

The business incorporates as Frank Stevens & Sons Roofing, Inc., with the next generation running the commercial and residential sides.
GAF Master Elite
A distinction held by roughly three percent of roofing contractors in the country, and the only way to register the best shingle warranties made.
Still a family shop
Certified with Carlisle SynTec, Elevate, Duro-Last, Johns Manville and Tremco. Long-standing maintenance contracts with school districts and counties. Same two men doing the estimates.
